I hope that everyone is enjoying the spring weather! On June 12th, will be "Meet your Best Friend at the Zoo". This popular annual event will feature over 100 dogs and cats available for adoption. Animal rescue groups will be on hand to help you choose the best pet for your family. This event takes place at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo ticket plaza (so zoo admission is not required) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you already have a dog, you can take him hiking on June 12th at the North Chagrin Nature Center from 2-3:15 p.m. For everyone's safely,dogs must be leashed at all times in the Metroparks.

Also at the zoo this summer, will be the exhibit "The Scooop on Poop." This fun and educational traveling exhibit is the largest ever mounted about the science of scat.

Speaking of fecal matters, as part of the PUP (pick up poop) campaign, you can get a free bandna for your dog. Just go to the website for the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District and pledge to clean up after your pet. (You hopefully already do this.)
